Every day, an estimated 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide. For each of those veterans, five more are considered at risk. Many are battling PTSD, homelessness, unemployment, or struggles with alcohol and substance abuse. Our dream is not only to reduce the veteran suicide rate to zero, but also to build a self-sustaining veteran community that supports our returning heroes as they navigate the challenges of civilian life. With your help, this vision can become a reality.
We are proud to announce our 11th Annual “Buddy Check 22: Veteran Suicide Awareness Golf Outing,” taking place on Saturday, September 25, 2026, and Sunday, September 26, 2026, at the Kankakee Elks Country Club in St. Anne, Illinois. Funds raised through this even via sponsorships and raffles directly support our programs and outreach efforts.
Because of your continued support, we are now able to offer no-cost mental health counseling services for veterans and their support systems through Well-In-Mind, available both in person and via telehealth. We also provide free Mental Health First Aid classes to the community.
