The 2nd Annual Friends of Foster Children Charity Golf Tournament is more than a day on the green - it’s a chance to truly impact the life of a child or youth in foster care. Every child deserves opportunities to grow, thrive, and build a bright future filled with hope. However, for the more than 8,200 children and youth in Arizona’s foster care system, access to essential resources and enriching experiences remains a challenge. Foster families receive on average $28 per day to cover a child’s basic needs - hardly enough to ensure a childhood filled with opportunity. Moreover, only approximately 8% of youth in foster care go on to earn a college degree, and 40% will become unhoused within two years of aging out of the system without support.

For over 40 years, Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF) has been committed to changing these statistics by funding activities and resources that create a better quality of life for children and youth in foster care. From education and extracurricular activities to housing and employment support, AFFCF seeks to ensure these youth not only have the same opportunities as their peers, but the same resources to achieve their goals and create the life of their dreams.
