The Heather Miller Memorial Golf Classic raises money to award College Nursing Scholarships to local students and the support other deserving charities and potential stipends in the name of Heather Miller. Heather was 21 years old, and just weeks away from graduating from WVU School of Nursing. She was the passenger in a drunk driving crash in March 2008. One week after the crash, March 31 2008, Heather was declared brain dead. Heather was a registered organ donor.

We are proud supporters of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Our efforts are ongoing and envision the day when there are "No More Victims" of drunk and drugged driving.

The Heather Miller Memorial also supports Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE). We make every effort to spread awareness about the importance of becoming a registered organ donor. Through Heather's selfless act of kindness, she "gifted" her heart, both kidneys, and her liver to complete strangers. She also enhanced at least another 54 lives through her "gift" of tissue donation.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, over 273 nursing scholarships/renewals have been awarded to local students. We have funds in the Ohio County Schools Foundation as well as the WVU School of Nursing Foundation. We are a 501(c3) non-profit organization.
