The Fifth Annual Knights of Columbus Council 5535 Charity Golf Tournament continues a proud tradition of fellowship, competition, and meaningful community impact. Knights of Columbus Council 5535—also known as the Father Murphy Council—has served the Jacksonville Beach and greater Jacksonville community since receiving its charter in 1964, providing financial and volunteer support to local parishes and charitable organizations throughout Northeast Florida.

This tournament has become an annual success for both golfers and the community. Last year alone, more than $25,000 was donated directly to local causes through this event, reinforcing Council 5535’s commitment to serving those in need and strengthening our community.

The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal men’s organization, founded in 1882 by Blessed Father Michael J. McGivney and built upon the core principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Locally, Council 5535 supports critical needs through hands-on service, charitable fundraising, and parish involvement across the Beaches and Jacksonville area.

While the Council’s twice-weekly Bingo program remains an important cornerstone of fundraising and community connection, this golf tournament represents a growing opportunity to expand our charitable impact and engage new supporters in a fun, meaningful way.

This year’s tournament will once again be held at one of Jacksonville’s premier golf venues and will feature a limited field, ensuring a smooth start, an enjoyable pace of play, and an exceptional experience for all participants. The event will include low gross and net awards, proximity prizes, and a silent auction, giving golfers and sponsors multiple ways to participate and support our mission.
