Event Summary
The overwhelming positive feedback from golfers, sponsors and donors is our motivation for hosting the 7th Annual SWING WITH THE LINKS, Golf Outing on October 9, 2023 to benefit the Charitable & Educational Programs of the Raritan Valley (NJ) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, in conjunction with the Links Foundation, Incorporated. This is the first SWING WITH THE LINKS Golf Outing since the COVID pandemic.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
The captivating natural beauty of Neshanic Valley and the challenge of the award winning 18 Hole Championship Golf Course await your arrival as a golfer. The event will include six venues: Lunch, Putting Contest, 18 Hole Championship, Learning Center, Meals Only and Awards Dinner.
LUNCH:
Enjoy a grilled lunch with all of the trimmings. Whether before teeing off from the assigned tee, or preparing for professional golf lessons in the Learning Academy, you will be impressed. Lunch is included in both 18 Hole Championship and Learning Center Venue fees.
18 HOLE CHAMPIONSHIP VENUE:
Foursomes will play from a “shot gun start” and utilize the “best ball” format, but not before warming up on the expansive driving range and manicured putting greens. To do so, each player will receive range balls, tees and use of a cart. To keep you refreshed throughout the round, an on-course complimentary beverage cart will be available. As a special bonus, you will receive a certificate for full club fittings at the state-of-the-art Calloway Performance Center by appointment ($100.00 dollar value). Competition will include: Women's Only Flight with the lowest score; Men's/Mixed Flight with the lowest score; Women's and Men's Longest Drive, Women's and Men's Closest to the Pin, and Putting Contest.
LEARNING CENTER VENUE:
Professional golf instruction is available at the state of the art Golf Learning Center at the Neshanic Valley Golf facility. Instruction is differentiated for new, novice and experienced golfers. Separate driving range, putting green and nine hole golf course are dedicated features that participants may enjoy. The winners of the Learning Center putting and chipping competition will be presented during the Awards Dinner.
MEALS ONLY:
While individuals not hosting or participating in the 18-Hole Championship or Learning Center venues are restricted from the course for safety reasons, guests may join us in the clubhouse for fun including line dance lessons or other aerobic activity, artisan demonstrations, and wine testing. After the 4 hour venue, Meals Only guests participate in the Awards Dinner.
AWARDS DINNER:
The fun of competing for team awards and individual prizes including golf apparel, travel, an automobile, etc. all but ensures the enduring camaraderie of your foursome. Guests will relax in traditional Links hospitality, enjoy the buffet dinner, celebrate the winners of the categories of play and collect prizes. Meet the Links members, get a glimpse of our outstanding programs, network freely and leave us your business card. The awards dinner is included in the 18 Hole Championship and Learning Center and Meals Only Venues fees.
