Dear Friend of the Michael Petrone Foundation:
In 1999, when Michael Petrone’s lifelong friends decided to honor their fallen
brother by establishing the Michael Petrone Foundation, they could not foresee that
25 years later MPF would have such a lasting impact on the community.
Mike’s friends -- from his North End of Norristown neighborhood, Holy Saviour
Grade School, Bishop Kenrick High School – set out to honor a man who embodied
strength of character and integrity…a man who valued the simplicity of the good that
surrounded him…his family, friends, children and his hometown of Norristown.
And so, over the course of the last 25 years, MPF has helped families dealing
with mounting medical bills; provided scholarships to local high school students;
supported families facing financial problems after unexpected deaths; and most
recently, provided much-needed financial boosts to nonprofit organizations that serve
society’s most vulnerable people.
The donors of MPF make it possible to ease some of these burdens, and in turn,
give these families in need a reason to have faith, hope and the belief that good things
can happen.
Now, as we mark the 27th anniversary year of Mike’s death, the goal of MPF
remains the same – to help those struggling emotionally, physically and financially. But,
sadly, the needs of the communities grow more each year. Which is why the
foundation needs your help more than ever.
Helping these families may seem like heavy lifting, but with help from you and fellow
MPF supporters, it can be done. MPF’s primary fundraiser, the golf outing, will be held Sept.
21st at Bella Vista Golf Club in Gilbertsville. There are several sponsorship opportunities
that range from $100 to $5,000. MPF is also happy (and in many cases encourages) to accept
monetary and product donations as well. More information will be provided once details are

But there are more ways to help support MPF’s beneficiaries – consider a recurring
donation as part of your yearly charitable giving. Over the years MPF has enjoyed the support

Establishing the Michael Petrone Foundation, essentially, was a way for his family and
friends to heal – to soften a tremendous loss by making the lives of others just a bit easier. But
because the foundation is based on life’s most powerful emotion – love – MPF has been able
to impact the lives of others with the fundamental premise of Friends Helping Friends. And
with your help, MPF will continue to help friends, and sustain the legacy of a very loving,
humble and charitable man – Mike Petrone.
