As they said in Field of Dreams, “If you build they will come.” In the 1960’s a few intrepid businessmen and community leaders convinced Little League Baseball to hold their Western Regional Tournament in San Bernardino. In return for the commitment, the community built one of the finest youth baseball stadiums in the United States. Al Houghton Stadium was completed in 1970 and began hosting West Region Little League Baseball Tournament. In 2011 we began hosting the girls of the West Region Little League Softball tournament too.

Now every summer, hundreds of boys and girls from across the Western United States converge on Southern California for their chance to go to the Little League World Series. The LLWS is the world’s largest annual elimination tournament. During the tournament, volunteers at Al Houghton Stadium and the Western Region Complex ensure that these Little Leaguers, their families, and spectators will have an experience that they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. The money that we raise will go directly to infrastructure needs of the complex, and to support the children that play there.

To support that mission we need your help to fund the experience. On Friday, August 9, 2023, we will host the Western Regional Little League Golf Tournament at Arrowhead Country Club in San Bernardino. We are looking for generous donors, and no amount is too small. With your support we can continue to Go the Distance for these exceptional kids.
